FQHC clinicians are tasked with the medical management of some of the most under-resourced,
underinsured, and complex patients in the nation. So, why do their collective E/M production reports
show many encounters are low complexity? In this session, we’ll equip coders with a baseline
knowledge of E/M documentation requirements and medical decision-making complexity. We’ll also
introduce time-based coding, comparing current guidelines to previous requirements and learning how
to spot a record that suggests the clinician is still operating under previous rules. 1.0 AAPC CEU available upon successful completion of Post-Course Assessment
