Telehealth Extension for FQHCs & RHCs Through September 2025!

Exciting news for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs)! The latest legislation has officially extended telehealth flexibilities, ensuring continued access to virtual care for Medicare patients.

Under Section 2207 of H.R. 1968, the Social Security Act (Section 1834(m)(8)(A)) has been amended to push the expiration date from March 31, 2025, to September 30, 2025. This extension means FQHCs and RHCs can keep providing telehealth services, ensuring patients in rural and underserved areas maintain access to vital healthcare resources.

This is a significant win for providers and patients alike, as it helps bridge the gap in care access while allowing clinics to continue leveraging telehealth technology. Stay tuned for more updates as BCA keeps you informed on evolving healthcare policies.
